Noir d’Or Bowl is a commanding sculptural bowl from the Vanguard collection, turned from an old oak stump – the sister piece to our jubilee A12V100, born from the same extraordinary material. At 52 cm in diameter, its Noir d’Or finish creates a striking black-gold contrast: the exterior deeply blackened to amplify its bold, carved relief and sculptural presence, while the interior’s warm golden-amber glow unveils an insane grain picture of dense swirls, growth rings, magnificent cracks, and wind-sculpted internal fissures recording decades of storm, strain and quiet endurance. This piece carries a rare immediacy – it found its new steward sooner than we could capture proper photographs, sparing it the journey through exhibitions while launching it directly into a life of intimate meaning. It commands space as pure art, a geological relic in the new home.
