This Rough Giant Bowl is the largest of three massive oak objects (A10V92, A10V93, A10V63) from the Vanguard collection, turned from an extraordinary log, currently at 61 cm in diameter.

Exhibited as a group at “100 Objects (2025)” and “Station To Station (2025)”, this piece carries a raw, unfinished power – currently marked as ‘work in progress’ to invite evolution, yet with each passing day its conviction grows that it belongs rough and unadorned, standing boldly against time like the ancient trees it came from.

Its substantial mass and intentional lack of finish celebrate the wood’s natural scars, checks and textures, creating a monumental sculptural presence that commands respect in any space.

It can be customized for its future steward, living as pure art, a geological statement, or a vast vessel for life’s meaningful gatherings.
